Falcon Flashback | Jill McLester '91

Athletic Hall of Fame Spotlight

Jill McLester’s athletic journey began at The O’Neal School, where she excelled in basketball and volleyball, setting the stage for a lifetime of leadership both on and off the court. Her dedication and versatility made her one of O’Neal’s most impactful athletes during her time as a Falcon.  She was part of numerous state championship teams as a volleyball player and was one of the most prolific scorers in the history of O’Neal’s basketball program.
From O’Neal to Collegiate Athletics
After graduating in 1991, Jill attended Oglethorpe University, where she continued her athletic career playing volleyball and basketball. She made history as the captain of Oglethorpe’s first women’s basketball team, demonstrating her leadership and commitment to growing women’s sports.
Jill later earned her BS in Exercise & Sports Science from UNC-Greensboro and began her professional career teaching and coaching at Richmond Senior High School. Her passion for athletics and education shaped countless young athletes during this time.

A Career of Service and Success
When Jill started her family, she transitioned to being a stay-at-home mom while maintaining her connection to fitness and sports. She earned her real estate license in 1999 and balanced work at FirstHealth Fitness Center with building a successful real estate career. In 2020, Jill launched Pine & Palm Real Estate Group, where she now serves as broker/owner and real estate investor.
