Teams are Revealed for the All-School Red/Blue Challenge

The Red/Blue Challenge celebrates its fifth year!

Red/Blue teams were revealed this week in a MS/US assembly and the Lower School morning assembly. In the MS/US assembly, the reveal was followed by a quick trivia contest about mascots. After the trivia contest, the red team is currently ahead by 10 points. How many high schools in North Carolina have the Falcon as their mascot?

Started in 2018, the Red-Blue Challenge is one of O’Neal’s newest student life programs. The All-School Red-Blue Challenge unites the O’Neal campus from our youngest Pre-K3 students to our seniors. At the beginning of the school year each student, faculty, and staff member is placed on either the Red Team or the Blue Team based on advisory or classroom. What follows is a year-long competition filled with events such as the Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge, the March Madness Community Service contest, and the senior-led All School Field Day. Points are tracked and tallied throughout the school year, and during the final week of the school, the winning team is crowned! Which team are you cheering on this year?
