O’Neal Celebrates Month of the Military Child with Spirit Week Fun

In celebration of the Month of the Military Child, The O’Neal School hosted a spirited week of themed days and activities from April 22–25, honoring the strength and resilience of military children and their families.

The week began on Tuesday with Proud to Be an American Day, as students and staff proudly wore red, white, and blue to show their patriotism.

On Wednesday, excitement filled the campus as students explored real military vehicles on display, including a DAGOR (Deployable Advanced Ground Off-Road) and a HEMTT (Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck). The day also included Purple Up Day, where the O’Neal community dressed in purple to show support for military-connected students.

Thursday brought out the heroes with Superhero Day. Students came dressed as their favorite superheroes and tackled a boot camp-style obstacle course, celebrating bravery and strength in a fun and active way.

The week wrapped up with At Ease Day on Friday, where students wore pajamas for a relaxed morning. Parents serving in the armed forces greeted students at drop-off in uniform, offering a meaningful and inspiring start to the day.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the parent volunteers and military families who helped make this week so special. Your support and dedication are deeply appreciated!
