Winter Night of Song Brings Music and Joy to O’Neal

On Thursday evening, the Hannah Center Theater came alive with the sounds of the season during O’Neal’s "Winter Night of Song". Families and friends gathered to enjoy an incredible showcase of talent from our Grade 8 Band and Upper School Choir, under the direction of David Lussier.
The Grade 8 Band opened the night with a lively set featuring Our Song by Taylor Swift, the holiday favorite Jingle Bell Rock, Shannon Blake’s Man on the Lakers, and the crowd-pleasing Wagon Wheel by Darius Rucker.
The Upper School Choir followed with a beautiful mix of classics and contemporary pieces, including Hold Fast Your Dreams, Do You Hear What I Hear, Here in My House, and A Wreath of Carols.

To close the evening, the band and choir joined forces for a spirited rendition of Feliz Navidad—a perfect finale that had the audience singing along and celebrating the joy of music.

Upcoming Performances:
  • Dec. 17: Grades 3–4 Caroling at a local retirement home
  • Dec. 19: Upper School Choir Community Caroling in Pinehurst, Southern Pines, and Aberdeen
  • Jan. 22: Winter Coffeehouse, 6 PM
  • Mar. 20–22: Willy Wonka – All School Musical
Thank you to all our talented students and faculty for making this night unforgettable!
