O’Neal vs. Village Christian Academy: 46–45, W
The Falcons pulled off a thrilling victory in a game that came down to the final seconds, earning a dramatic win over Village Christian. O’Neal played with great energy and effort from start to finish, competing on every possession and never backing down in a tightly contested matchup.
Coming out of halftime, the Falcons set the tone defensively by forcing turnovers early in the third quarter, which led to key scoring opportunities. O’Neal did a great job executing offensively, moving the ball with purpose and attacking the paint to keep pressure on the defense. The combination of defensive stops and efficient offense allowed the Falcons to stay in control and build momentum as the game tightened.
Trailing by one with 12 seconds left, the Falcons came up with a huge defensive stop to give themselves a chance to win the game. O’Neal pushed the ball full court looking for the best opportunity. After the initial shot missed, the Falcons stayed aggressive, secured the offensive rebound, and finished the put-back just before the buzzer to seal the win.
O’Neal vs. Northwood Temple Academy: 40–29, W
The Falcons earned a solid home win against Northwood Temple on Monday behind a great defensive effort and strong team basketball. O’Neal was active on the defensive end, applying consistent ball pressure and doing a great job helping and rotating as a unit.
The defensive intensity led to turnovers and transition opportunities, allowing the Falcons to build separation as the game went on. Offensively, the team shared the ball well and played unselfishly, with multiple players contributing throughout the game. The coaching staff was proud of the group’s energy, communication, and commitment to playing together on both ends of the floor.
O’Neal vs. Fayetteville Christian School: 40–25, W
The Falcons delivered an impressive road victory over the Warriors on Wednesday with a complete team performance. O’Neal set the tone early with defensive pressure, forcing turnovers and turning those stops into easy transition opportunities.
All Falcons saw meaningful playing time and made positive contributions, highlighting the team’s depth and togetherness. The Falcons played with great pace in transition, shared the basketball, and continued to compete on every possession. It was a strong all-around effort and a great example of team basketball on the road.
JV Boys Basketball
O’Neal vs. Village Christian Academy: 60–50, W
The Falcons earned a strong road victory Friday night against Village Christian, with defense leading the way from start to finish. O’Neal set the tone early with active ball pressure, great help defense, and strong communication, making it difficult for Village Christian to find a rhythm offensively.
The defensive effort created key stops and transition opportunities that helped the Falcons maintain control throughout the game. The team stayed composed down the stretch and closed the game out with smart possessions and continued defensive intensity. It was a complete team effort and another positive step forward for the Falcons.
O’Neal vs. Freedom Christian Academy: 47–57, L
The Falcons battled hard against Freedom Christian but came up short in the final score. O’Neal competed well early and showed flashes of strong defensive play, but turnovers in the second half shifted momentum and allowed Freedom Christian to build a lead.
Offensively, the Falcons struggled to find consistency shooting the ball, which made it difficult to respond once Freedom Christian went on scoring runs. Despite the outcome, the effort and competitiveness were there, and the coaching staff emphasized learning from the mistakes, taking better care of the basketball, and continuing to grow as the season progresses.

O’Neal vs Village Christian Academy: 15-17, L
Last Friday, the girls took on Village Christian Academy in a fast-paced matchup. Despite facing an aggressive defense, the Falcons put up 6 first-half points thanks to captain Julie Wilson and Haddie Habets. In the second half, the team found rhythm at the foul line, adding 9 more and showing growing confidence under pressure.
O’Neal vs Northwood Temple Academy: 23-46, L
On Monday, O’Neal hosted Northwood Temple Academy. Even with a challenging second half, the Falcons played with determination and composure. Wilson shined at the line, knocking down 80% of her free throws.
O’Neal vs Fayetteville Christian School: 21-36, L
By Wednesday, O’Neal traveled to Fayetteville Christian School. Despite a demanding schedule, the girls arrived focused and ready to apply their midweek work. Scoring contributions came from Habets, Wilson, Olivia Hostler, Grace Chabalko, and Kennedy Morrow, with all nine Falcons making an impact on the court. The final score was 21–36, but the overall effort hinted at a strong remainder of the season.
Throughout the week, Hostler set the tone defensively with relentless effort. Meanwhile, 8th graders Wilson and Habets led the way offensively as key point contributors and play drivers for the Falcons.
Varsity Girls Basketball
O’Neal vs Village Christian Academy: 46-14, L
The Falcons returned from Thanksgiving break energized and ready to work, spending the week expanding their playbook and strengthening team chemistry. That preparation showed on Friday night as O’Neal opened its road schedule with a commanding 46–14 win over Village Christian Academy. The Falcons controlled the game from the start, using relentless defensive pressure to force turnovers that translated into easy baskets in transition. The offense flowed with confidence, and the team executed cleanly at both ends of the floor. Leading the way was senior Jordin Reed, who delivered a dominant all-around performance, disrupting Village’s offense while pushing the tempo and creating opportunities for her teammates. It was a strong statement win to begin the post-holiday stretch of the season.
O’Neal vs Freedom Christian Academy: 25-81, L
The Falcons faced a significant challenge on Monday, traveling to Freedom Christian Academy for their fourth varsity matchup of the season. The final score was tough, but it didn’t reflect the composure and determination the team demonstrated throughout the game. Despite facing a fast, physical, and deep opponent, O’Neal battled through all 32 minutes, communicated well on the floor, and kept a positive, connected mindset. This resilience was a bright spot in an otherwise difficult contest. Haddie Habets effort across all levels of play was remarkable. Habets competed in three games—two middle school and one varsity—while juggling practices for both teams, maintaining her schoolwork, and still bringing energy, enthusiasm, and leadership to every environment she stepped into. The Falcons now turn their focus to their next contest on Friday, December 12, when they travel to Fayetteville Christian School.
