Homecoming 2017
It was a great night for an O’Neal Homecoming Thursday December 14th. The Booster Club and Pete’s Restaurant served great food for the annual homecoming dinner. Victories were made on the court. The cheerleaders amazed everyone with their outstanding routines. The gleaming faces of visiting alumni were a joy to behold; and lastly the presentation of the homecoming court recognized individuals who are highly regarded by their peers.
The Homecoming Court for the 2017-2018 school year:
Representing the Freshman class were: Beka Carr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Carr, escorted by O’Neal senior, David Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Llewellyn Lewis and Taylor Edrington, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David Edrington, escorted by O’Neal freshman, Doran Lamble, son of Mr. Rob Lamble and Ms. Maria Zone.
Representing the Sophomore class were: Julia Darabont, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tibor Darabont, escorted by O’Neal junior, Andrew Phan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Phan and Sydney Maynor, daughter of Drs. Bobby and Carolyn Maynor, escorted by O’Neal senior, Andrew Martin, son of Ms. Jessica Shoecraft.
Representing the Junior class were: Alex Dymond, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brett Dymond, escorted by O’Neal junior, German Arteta Riveiro, son of Mr. German Arteta Torres and Ms. Mariola Riveiro Lopez-Niῆo and Shamiso Kodzai, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Kodzai, escorted by O’Neal junior, Bryce Samples, son of Lt. Colonel and Mrs. John Samples.
Joining the Senior Representatives were their Little Buddies from the Lower School. Representing the Senior class were: Hanna Fitzgerald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fitzgerald, escorted by her brother and Coastal Carolina University Graduate, Will Fitzgerald, and her Lower School Buddies, Tanner Kennedy and Olivia Mahoney; Ellie Henry, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Michael Henry, escorted by her brother and O’Neal sophomore, Sam Henry, and her Lower School Buddies, Layla Joyce Duffy and Grace Harris; and Toyin Koleoso, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nojeem Koleoso, escorted by O’Neal junior, Turbo Meng, son of Mr. Qingjun Meng and Ms. Hao Zhang, and her Lower School Buddies, Gabriella Bozovich and Malia Stone.
Last year’s Homecoming Queen, Lindsay Vest, who is currently a freshman at Campbell University crowned Ellie Henry as the Homecoming Queen for the 2017-2018 school year.
