Governor's Appreciation Award Presented

In recognition of his efforts, N. C. State Professor, Department of Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and President of the Carolina-China Council Dr. Lian Xie (“Shea”), accepted the Governor’s Award of Appreciation for extraordinary contributions to the relationships generated by the “Carolina-China Council” in recent years. Representatives from China attended the ceremony in O’Neal’s Hannah Center Theater on Saturday, February 8th in honor of Dr. Xie. Governor McCrory was represented by Stan Bradshaw, O’Neal trustee and a strong advocate for The O’Neal School’s new program of Chinese students enrolling in O’Neal to attain their diplomas – a program that will begin in the 2014-2015 school year.
