About

From the Head of School

O’Neal is pleased to welcome Interim Head of School Brenda Jackson. Mrs. Jackson re-enters the workforce from retirement to assist the School as its Board of Trustees carries out the official search for a new head of school.

In a letter to O’Neal parents, Mrs. Jackson states “As Interim Head of School, I look forward to carrying out our mission and serving our students and community. I look forward to working with talented and committed faculty and staff over the next several months. I look forward to getting to know your children.”

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Jackson served as the Sandhills Community College Chief Operating Officer as well as Interim President.

Mrs. Jackson is not a stranger to O’Neal. Before her move to Sandhills Community College, she served as the School’s chief financial officer, director of institutional advancement, and assistant head of school.  Before joining O’Neal for the first time, she served as treasurer for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Charlotte, NC.

Mrs. Jackson and her husband John have three adult children, all of whom are O’Neal alumni.
