Special Persons Day Brings Joy to Lower School

Students in PreK3 through third grade welcomed their grandparents and other special guests for a memorable Special Persons Day celebration. O'Neal fourth grade celebrated Special Persons Day one day earlier.

The day began at 9:00 AM in the Hannah Center Atrium, where guests enjoyed refreshments and pastries generously donated by local establishments. Attendees were also treated to beautiful music performed by an O’Neal junior and national competitive pianist, who entertained guests during the opening reception and as they were seated in the theater.

At 10:00 AM in the Hannah Center Theater, attendees were greeted by:
  • Cassie Cloninger, Early Learning Division Head
  • Jeni Wiley, Primary Division Head
  • Steve Lisk, Interim Head of School
Guests were then treated to delightful performances by students PreK3–Grade 3, under the direction of Mrs. Amber Bertagnole.

Following the performances, students received a passport to guide them through visits to their co-curricular classes with their special guests. Each stop earned a colorful stamp, and completed passports were entered into a prize drawing!

The morning concluded with classroom visits in McMurray Hall Lower School and a stop at the Book Fair in McMurray Library and Bradshaw Hall.

Thank you to everyone who made this day special—and to our local partners for providing delicious treats!
