The Moore County Pet Responsibility Program, led by the Moore County Citizens’ Pet Responsibility Committee (PRC), is a volunteer-driven initiative that teaches students in local schools about kindness, integrity, and responsibility toward pets. Through engaging lessons, videos, and contests like the “Speuter Story,” students learn how spaying and neutering help prevent pet overpopulation.

The PRC also hosts community Pet Care Days, offering low-cost veterinary services and resources to support responsible pet ownership.

This program continues to expand across Moore County and beyond, inspiring young people to make a positive impact on animal welfare.
